My first career was with Natwest Bank where I spent 21 years undertaking various roles, the latter part being in Commercial Banking, initially in Coventry and Warwickshire and then in Somerset, where I was born and bred.
My final role of Commercial Relationship Manager based in Yeovil involved actively managing a varied portfolio of business clients, looking to provide an excellent service and helping meet their banking and financial needs.
I left NatWest to spend two years in Australia, studying and working on a voluntary basis with a large charitable organisation, including the involvement in large scale events attracting tens of thousands of people from around the world.
Since returning to the UK I have worked in commercial finance broking for 9 years, over which time I have gained a lot of experience in working with a wide range of lenders and clients, seeking to provide solutions that fulfil their requirements.
Over the years I have been involved with various charities and undertaken various voluntary positions, ranging from that of School Governor and Finance Officer, to being a sound engineer for various musicians.
When not working I enjoy travel, which at times has crossed over with charity work, this having provided me with the opportunity to tour around Peru, Serbia, and Czech Republic, visiting places where normal tourists do not get to see. I also enjoy musical theatre, enjoying trips to London’s West End.
Having historically worked with clients throughout the UK, my role within South West Business Finance gives me the opportunity to work personally with clients and professionals in my local area, placing value in long term working relationships.
