After more than 42 years with Midland Bank and HSBC - followed by nearly six months of almost starting the DIY jobs that needed doing at home - Steve and Dan gave me the opportunity to join SWBF. This boosted the team's total number of former HSBC years and gave me the chance to apply myself to something I am more enthusiastic about and slightly better at.

My banking career covered a wide variety of roles, including branch management and corporate and commercial manager and director positions across Hampshire, Dorset, Devon and Wiltshire. The final 20 years were predominantly spent in commercial and corporate roles, actively managing varied portfolios of SME clients and helping them meet their banking and financial needs.

Sport remains an important part of my life, although sadly it now involves more watching than playing. I am still a very keen golfer and, when I am not on the course, I enjoy spending time with my family.
