We were delighted to be joined in the office by Philippa Cox from the Youth Adventure Trust to reflect on a year of fundraising we have been doing for the Charity.
The Youth Adventure Trust helps vulnerable young people aged 11-16 years old unlock their potential and lead positive lives in the future. Their Youth Adventure Programme, which spans 3 school years, is a genuinely life changing opportunity, giving young people the chance to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills that will last a lifetime. They help up to 360 young people a year develop these key skills through the challenge of outdoor adventure. They support each young person to build on their personal strengths through our individualised support and feedback, enabling them to become reflective, see their abilities and challenge themselves to develop in the ways which will help them in the long term. You can find out more at on the Youth Adventure Trust website.
In 2023 we have completed a number of fundraising events for this fantastic charity including, a Quiz Night, the Virtual Resilience Challenge, the Dartmoor Ten Tours, a Charity Golf Day and the Three Peaks Challenge. We are so delighted to confirm that we have raised over £18,000 this year across these events. This will help to support 14 young people on their programme.
We cannot thank everyone who has supported us and donated to the charity enough and knowing we were raising funds for such a worthwhile cause really kept us going through some of the more gruelling challenges, (especially the Three Peaks!)
